Divorce is a legal process, but living through one is deeply personal.
I built D101 from both professional and personal experience. I hold a master’s degree in applied psychology, have a background in behavioral health, and have spent years teaching emotional intelligence in organizations. And … I’ve been through divorce myself.
That combination shaped how I approached D101. I wanted to create something that explains the Minnesota divorce process clearly, while also helping people protect their peace, manage difficult emotions, communicate more thoughtfully, and make better decisions along the way.
D101 is not a replacement for your attorney. It is designed to help you understand the legal process in Minnesota well enough to have clearer, more efficient conversations with them and use valuable billable time on the issues that truly require legal guidance.

Understand More. React Less.
Divorce can bring legal questions, financial uncertainty, difficult conversations, and strong emotions all at once.
D101 combines plain-language Minnesota divorce education with practical support for managing the human side of the process.
The goal is simple: help you understand what is happening, make more emotionally intelligent decisions, and stay focused on what matters most.
Make Better Use of Your Attorney
Your attorney should be spending time helping you with your case, not repeatedly explaining basic divorce terminology and process.
D101 was designed to support the attorney-client relationship by helping you come to conversations better informed, better prepared, and with clearer questions.
That can help you use valuable billable attorney time more efficiently while still relying on your attorney for the legal advice and guidance only they can provide.
